ABOUT US
The team has a variety of experiences working for private engineering companies and multiple large utilities in the US, such as Duke Energy, American Electric Power, Anderson Municipal Light and Power, Rensselaer Municipal Electric Utility, Lakeland Electric, Consumers Power Company, etc. The combined experience of the team is over 100 years on 13kV–500kV distribution, transmission and generation, including P&C relay design, settings, testing, commissioning, fault analysis, procedure documentation and NERC compliances.
TEAM PROFILE
Harianto Suryo, P.E.
Principal Engineer
Professional Engineer State of Florida
License # 54092
B.S.E.E. / M.S.E.E University of South Florida/Tampa
Dec 1992 / May 1995
Past Member, IEEE
Harianto has been involved in the protection of generators, transformers, bus, transmission lines, distribution lines, capacitor banks and motors. He has calculated and generated in excess of 1000 microprocessor relay settings and is involved in hundreds of electromechanical relay coordination and settings. Besides his P&C programming experience, he developed the Fuse Coordination and Fault Location programs. His notable projects include converting a Network Switch to a Fast Transfer Switch, serving industrial customers, as well as testing and deploying two Distribution Automation projects. Besides designing, programming, and analysis experience, Harianto also has experience assisting field commissioning and bench testing on various relay control schemes. His involvement in P&C Technical trainings to various Engineering Groups and Protective Relay Technicians were part of his duties and expertise.
With Harianto’s technical skills and leadership, as Manager of System Protection, he was heavily involved and led a municipal utility on NERC PRC standards experiencing three different NERC audits with no violations found. Harianto is very proficient in ASPEN One-liner fault analysis and MATHCAD software.
Jim Ferrell, P.E.
